A Japanese dragon, also known as ryū or tatsu (or , "dragon") is a big, fantastic animal that looks similar to a serpent.

Like all these Asian dragons, it is shown without wings, has legs with claws, and usually lives in the ocean, the clouds, or heavens.

Dragons are Common in Japanese folklore typically in the Edo period (1603-1863), but they appear in Japanese Stories since the 8th century.

The Phoenix, called in Japan Hōō (ほうおう) is associated with the Japanese Imperial family, but its first depictions in the history of mankind were found in China, dating back to about 7000–8000 years ago, where it is called Fenghuang.

The Phoenix body symbolizes the celestial bodies: the head is the sky, the eyes are the sun, the back is the moon, the wings are the wind, the feet are the earth, and the tail is the planets. The Phoenix is said to have originated in the sun. Its body contains the five fundamental colors: black, white, red, yellow, and green. It is believed that the bird only appears in areas or places that are blessed with utmost peace and prosperity or happiness.

Jade has always been prized for its hardness, durability and beauty. In particular, its subtle, translucent colors and protective qualities caused it to become associated with Chinese conceptions of the soul and immortality, and it is a traditional belief in China that jade protects the body and wards off bad energies.

The necklace is made of Burmese Jade and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Each order comes with both the Dragon and the Phoenix, in two necklaces. The necklace length is adjustable. Each “half” of the necklace, measures 44*25mm.
