Foxes (Kitsune in Japanese) are the messengers of the kami Inari.

Inari Ōkami (Japanese: 稲荷大神), also called Ō-Inari (大稲荷), is the Japanese kami of foxes, fertility, rice, tea and sake, agriculture and industry, and general prosperity and worldly success, and is one of the principal kami of Shinto.

As envoys from one of the most important gods in Shintoism, foxes (kitsune) are highly regarded, and offerings of rice, sake, and other food are given at the shrine to appease and please these kitsune messengers, who are then expected to plead with Inari on the worshipper's behalf.

The more tails a kitsune has—they may have as many as nine—the older, wiser, and more powerful it is.

This beautiful pendant is made of stainless steel, a nickel and molybdenum alloy known for its sturdiness and corrosion resistance. The necklace cord size is adjustable.
