Tea is the most consumed beverage in the world, and a true passion both in the east and in the west, with Chinese legends attributing the invention of tea to the year in 2737 BC.
The tea cups are made of Celadon, a classic style of pottery showing a glazed green jade sheen. This kind of “green ware” was largely favored in the Chinese courts during XIII to XV centuries, and is prized for its green jade-like color.
The cups are hand painted by different artists before being cured, so no two drawings will be exactly the same.
